The Crown Is Yours

We are looking for a Data Engineering Manager to lead a team of Data Engineers building innovative data products and solutions. You will work closely with Technical Program Managers, Software Engineers, Data Engineers, and Delivery Managers to deliver innovative solutions which meet the growing needs of the business. 

In this role, you’ll lead a team focused on building data solutions to unlock insights in our Sportsbook product and support critical business reporting requirements.

What you’ll do as a Manager, Data Engineering

• Manage and mentor a talented team of Data Engineers of all levels, aiding them in their own career growth

• Collaborate with Technical Program Managers and your squad to deliver high quality results with high velocity

• Be a hands on leader, making code contributions when needed, and digging into technical details to help provide support and direction for your team

• Responsible for code being designed/architected and written in a testable, scalable, and performant manner

• Help manage and facilitate technical design discussions, adding significant verbal and written contributions, and helping your squad overcome hurdles

• Responsible for overall team health, and ensuring strong and effective communication across the team and with stakeholders

• React and adapt to change; the business move quickly and priorities can change rapidly

What You'll Bring

• At least 3 years of technical management experience and a background in Data Engineering. 

• Hands-on SQL experience in aspects of data engineering and operations, including data ingestion, delivery, and operations.

• Experience working with Snowflake and AWS

• Experience with tools such as Kafka, Airflow, Terraform, Python, and Datadog 

• Strong, proven mentorship skills that have demonstrated the ability to motivate, develop, and guide Data Engineers.

• Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Experience working in the sports betting industry, gaming industry, or other related field is a plus
