Senior AI Platform Engineer

As an AI platform engineer:

• you will be working for NXP’s Global design community with the primarily focus of boosting circuit design and SW development (lower time-to-market, higher quality) using advanced AI / ML tools.
• You will implement robust, scalable AI systems and infrastructure, including data storage, processing, and model serving components, to support seamless integration of AI models into NXP’s large scale design environments.
• You will develop novel feature engineering, data augmentation, prompt engineering and fine-tuning frameworks that achieve optimal performance on specific tasks and domains.  
• You will use expertise in developing and operating technical platforms to enable our engineers to work more efficiently and adopting your platform through direct engagement.
• You work hands-on, and are able to tackle the whole design, build, test, deploy cycle.
• You will be part of a cross-functional global team that provides AI systems, platform and services to internal customers
• You are well-versed in cloud engineering and development, with a strong DevSecOps mindset, and thanks to your excellent collaboration skills you will work with your team to deliver the best answers to our customers’ needs and to take over full responsibility for its platform, from design to operation.
• You care diligently about the quality of your work, including proper documentation and security aspects.
• You care for operational readiness, ensure observability of your platform and service. You will continuously improve CI/CD and automation maturity and efficiency

Candidate requirements:

• Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s or Graduate degree in computer science, electronics, information technology or related field.
• Minimum of 12 (twelve) years of demonstrable hands-on experience working as software solutions developer/architect with experience in EDA software optimization
• Extensive hands-on experience in software development (CI/CD), including SCM (one or more of git/svn/bitbucket/perforce), release management, testing and documentation.
• Experience with AWS services such as ECS Fargate, Lambdas, AWS IAM, AWS CDK.
• Proven experience designing AI/ML solutions for scientific computing, specific to EDA/Silicon design.
• Experience using AI prompts, RAG based patterns, Langchain, vector databases
• Deep experience in Engineering DRM (eg. LSF, Univa, Slurm, RTDA) based workflow implementation or optimization.
• Experience with data engineering and data security – including databases, data lakes/data lakehouses.
• Have the technical skill to review, verify and validate the software code developed in the project.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on proactive optimization.
