Job Description:

The new Airbus UpNext demonstrator will pave the way to more autonomous flight capacity by integration of new innovative bricks including computer vision.

This internship starts ASAP and it's for 5-6 months.

Main missions:

Your mission will be to develop algorithms to merge weather data coming from the embedded radar and ground reports & predictions retrieved through connectivity. The work is thus mainly focused on embedded software development from specifications provided by specialists in aeronautical weather data. Your goal is to develop, verify and validate an application that will be run in real time by the pilot to assess the situation and take strategic decisions for the mission.  

We are looking for a software engineer with competencies in one or more of the following areas with the willingness to learn more

  • Experience in embedded software development

  • Experience in aerospace systems including unmanned aerial systems

  • Aircraft navigation systems

As such , the jobholder will have to :

  • Develop an embedded software to process and merge weather images  

  • Define the test strategy

  • Develop the verification, validation and performance assessment tools

  • Communicate the reports to the team 

  • Criticize the design to improve the performances

What you bring

  • Diploma/master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics,  Electrical Engineering, Physics or related field

  • Background in one or more of the following fields: C/C++ programming, data analytics, digital signal processing, multi-sensor data fusion

  • Excellent programming skills in one or more of the following languages: C/C++, Python

  • Negotiation level in English is required

  • Passionate about exploring new areas, working on equations and quickly implementing innovative ideas and concepts

  • Critical thinker that takes on big challenges to create innovative solutions. You are an enterprising person, flexible and capable of adapting to changing environments.

  • Able to self-manage and yet a team-player!

  • You are impatient with a burning desire to execute rapidly, without compromising neither safety nor ethics nor compliance.

  • You have and share the values of transparency, courage, humility, empathy and care for others.

  • You are a hands-on person, solution oriented and communicative. 

  • You are willing to have fun ;)
