POSITION: Electrical Engineer

LOCATION: 965 W Maude Ave, Sunnyvale, CA 94085

JOB DUTIES: Design, build, and characterize electrical test vehicles. Work with a team of experts in different backgrounds such as high speed and high-frequency devices, advanced semiconductor packaging, thermal, optical, and data science. Maintain and deliver clear project progress and communicate effectively with external customers as well as various internal DuPont technical sites. Engage in the highest levels of ethical conduct, quality science, and adherence to DuPont’s culture of safety. Work closely with Lead Engineers in the lab focusing on RF and Signal Integrity test vehicle design and characterization. Develop applications for DuPont products used in diverse electrical devices for the consumer electronics, datacom, telecom, and advanced auto industries. Interact with customers to demonstrate the performance of DuPont materials. Prepare Standard Operating Procedures for testing methods. Generate reports and analysis of test data. Prepare documentation and recommendations. Debug and perform failure analysis. Interact with other teams from various DuPont sites. Provide technical guidance to team members on Electrical Engineering test methods. Work with lab technicians and provide training when necessary for electrical measurements. Propose and prototype solutions to critical industry problems utilizing a hypothesis-driven approach. Continuously develop expertise in end-use application space and fully support DuPont’s customers. Compile, document, and communicate value-in-use information, competitive intelligence, and related items to continuously improve DuPont’s competitive advantage. Collaborate with different business units within DuPont and provide insights on new product and application opportunities to meet customer needs.

REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering or a related field of study and one year of experience in the job offered or related occupation.

Applicant must have 1 year demonstrated experience in each of the following:

  • Working with high speed high-frequency applications;
  •  Reading schematics and performing electrical circuit debugging using VNA, oscilloscopes, DMMs, multi- meters, TDRs, spectrum analyzer, etc.;
  • Translating application requirements into application test methods and material selections / recommendations;
  • Utilizing design, layout, and testing knowledge of flex, rigid PCB, or IC substrate;
  • Working with RF and/or Signal Integrity engineering;
  • Programming and working with Python;
  • Programming and working with Matlab or Labview.

OFFERED WAGE: $156,624 - $165,000/year
