We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to support the design and implementation of our data platform. This role will contribute to our data ecosystem by implementing best practices in data modeling, governance, and security while working with modern data technologies.

This role is a hybrid model from our Palo Alto, CA office.

You Will:

• Implement and maintain data pipelines for analytics and operational workflows using SQL and Python
• Follow best practices in dbt, data modeling, and ELT/ETL development
• Design and develop data warehouse models, tables, and schemas to support scalable and maintainable analytics solutions
• Build and sustain workflows with Airflow (Astronomer) for efficient data orchestration
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement data solutions aligned with business needs
• Support data governance practices and handle PII and sensitive data appropriately in cloud environments
• Work with AWS services for infrastructure management and operations
• Participate in code reviews, documentation, and knowledge sharing to strengthen team capabilities
• Contribute to continuous improvement of data engineering practices

You Have:

• 3+ years of data engineering experience, with knowledge of AWS services and modern data stack components (Fivetran, dbt, Airflow, Snowflake, Monte Carlo, Atlan)
• Hands-on experience with dbt and data modeling techniques
• Proficiency in SQL and Python for data processing and pipeline development
• Understanding of data governance and PII handling practices
• Familiarity with maintaining and optimizing CI/CD pipelines
• Strong focus on data quality and problem-solving
• Ability to work collaboratively with engineering, analytics, and business teams
• Interest in continuously expanding data engineering knowledge and skills

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The base pay depends upon many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified. 

Annualized Pay Range$145,000—$225,000 USD
