JOB TITLE:  Global AI Technical Lead

 

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced AI Technical Lead with a strong background in Data and Enterpriise Architecture and a startup mindset to lead the design, development, and implementation of AI-driven solutions across our organization. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in Generative AI, Machine Learning (ML), Large Language Models (LLM), cloud platforms, and automation, as well as the ability to align AI strategies with business objectives. Also, key is the ability to assess whether AI is the right technology choice to meet a particular business need, what is needed from a data governance and privacy perspective to develop safe AI, and how to ensure designed solutions are ethical, considering potential biases, fairness, and transparency.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Partner with the Director, Digital Transformation to define and drive the AI technology strategy, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards and business goals
  • Develop and oversee the AI data architecture strategy to ensure models access high-quality, well-structured, and scalable data pipelines
  • Design and lead the implementation of scalable, secure, and efficient AI solutions within cloud and on-premises environments
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders across the organization, data scientists, and engineers to deliver AI-driven applications that enhance productivity and decision-making
  • Ensure AI solutions comply with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements
  • Lead the integration of AI technologies with existing enterprise systems, ensuring interoperability and performance optimization
  • Establish best practices and governance frameworks for AI models deployment and lifecycle management
  • Be a key player in the design and evolution of the enterprise architecture
  • Evaluate emerging AI and other technologies and provide recommendations for adoption
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams

 

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build strong partnerships across functions and foster a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
  • Reviews and approves architectural designs across solutions
  • Ability to bring a startup mindset to drive innovation within the constraints and opportunities of a large enterprise environment.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the business impact and ROI of AI-driven solutions.
  • Provide oversight and foster Built-In Quality and Team and Technical Agility

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

 

Education

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field or, equivalent of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job may be considered.

 

Experience and Skills

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience as a technical lead, with at least 3 years focused on Artificial Intelligence solutions.
  • Proven experience with AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, CNTK, Scikit-learn, etc.).
  • Experience with NLP, computer vision, or other specialized AI domains.
  • Familiarity with automation tools and robotic process automation (RPA).
  • Strong understanding of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and their AI/ML services.
  • Expertise in data engineering, model training, and deployment using MLOps best practices.
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture, APIs, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate business needs into AI-driven solutions.
  • Experience with AI governance, ethics, and compliance frameworks.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and evidence of enabling teamwork in a matrix environment
  • Proven ability to build coalitions and develop strong partnerships across functions
  • Executive presence and ability to interact effectively, orally and in writing, with all levels of the organization
  • Experience with managing geographically diverse onshore and offshore team members
  • Experience within the Medical Device, Life Sciences, or a related regulated industry.

 

Preferred Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • Certifications in AI/ML, cloud platforms, or enterprise architecture (TOGAF, AWS Certified Machine Learning, etc.).
  • Cloud certification

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Typical Office Environment requirements include reading, speaking, hearing, close vision, traverse, bending, sitting, and occasional lifting up to 20 pounds.

Additional Physical Requirements

The position will be located in Lakewood, CO HQ or Remote in the US with Travel to HQ. Some international and domestic travel will be required up to 20%.

Target Pay Range:  $135,500.00 to $169,400.00  -  Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data
Target Bonus on Base:  10.0%
