Community Intern

ValidMind is looking for community building interns for a 12-week internship. The ideal candidate will be a post-secondary student or a recent graduate with experience in AI, machine learning, or FinTech. We will also consider interdisciplinary candidates from diverse backgrounds such as marketing who can demonstrate that they have the technical aptitude to succeed.

As a community building intern, you will be working with us to improve the developer content at ValidMind. From writing technical documentation, to working on Jupyter Notebooks, to helping us with training and onboarding content — your efforts will be part of ensuring that our growing community of internal and external users are engaged and armed with the tools to maximize their potential with ValidMind.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Work closely in an interdisciplinary role alongside our engineering, product, and documentation teams
• Author user-facing developer content, including technical guides, training, and other content
• Help develop and improve internal and product processes

Who You Are & What Makes You Qualified:

• Currently enrolled at a college or university, at the undergraduate or graduate level, or a recent graduate
• Proficiency with Python and Jupyter Notebooks or equivalent
• Organized and detail-oriented, self-motivated and enthusiastic about the unknown
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Innovative problem-solving skills and an ability to analyze data to inform decision-making
• A passion for technology, startup life, and a love for learning new things
• An understanding of user communities for technical audiences

Nice-to-haves

• A background in data science, machine learning, or GenAI
• Samples showcasing your ability to break down technical subject matter into digestible content
• Familiarity with standard software development tools, including GitHub, macOS, Python, and command line tools

Internships will start in May 2025 and will run until August. Shorter or longer internships can be considered on a prorated basis. Your pay will be commensurate with experience and location, but we aim to provide you with competitive compensation for your role.
