This position focuses on leveraging cutting-edge technology and cross-functional collaboration to streamline creative production workflows. As a leader, the Senior Manager will guide and mentor a team of developers, foster an inclusive and high-performance culture, and drive strategic, high-impact initiatives. The role requires expertise in software development, workflow automation, and project management to ensure seamless execution of priority projects across various NFL departments.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of 1-3 seasonal or agency graphics system developers, fostering innovation, best practices, and collaboration.
- Guide career development, ensuring team members grow while maintaining high performance.
- Define and execute product roadmaps, aligning with business objectives and industry trends.
- Oversee architectural decisions, sprint planning, and technical discussions to drive innovation and efficiency.
- Identify and develop strategic solutions for production inefficiencies, leveraging automation and AI.
- Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and contribute to committees exploring innovative tools.
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to understand business needs, engineering constraints, and market opportunities.
- Collaborate with teams across design, engineering, and operations to build and maintain scalable systems.
- Manage project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
- Drive operational excellence through data-driven decision-making and process improvements.
- Effectively communicate goals, strategies, and project status to leadership and stakeholders.
- Document technical specifications, architectural diagrams, and best-practice guidelines for long-term sustainability.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of software engineering experience across front-end and back-end technologies (React, JavaScript/TypeScript, Extendscript, Node.js, ChatGPT, CoPilot).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in software architecture, solution design, and script-driven workflow development.
- Minimum 3 years in a leadership or engineering management role, overseeing architecture, design, code reviews, and operational excellence.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and integrating emerging technologies.
- Strong UX/UI proficiency, balancing aesthetics, usability, and performance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong UX/UI proficiency, balancing aesthetics, usability, and performance
- Ability to perform solution architecture validations for LLMs. GenAIOps: Experience in putting Generative AI (GENAI) models into production and providing support to them.
- Experience with Cloud Computing: Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure for model deployment and scaling
- Software Engineering Skills: The ability to write clean, efficient, and reusable code is essential in MLOps roles.
- Demonstrated success in supporting critical applications and delivering scalable platform capabilities.
- Experience with video delivery solutions, Adobe products/APIs, AWS services/APIs, or media/graphics production workflows is a plus.
- Knowledge of the NFL’s business, fan engagement strategies, and club support operations is beneficial.

Salary / Pay Range

Terms / Expected Hours of Work
- NFL employees are required to work 40 hours per week.

This role requires onsite presence at an NFL office or stadium location, and remote and/or hybrid working options are not offered.
