Data Analytics Intern

Position Overview:

The Data Analytics Intern position is focused on supporting data integrity and analysis to inform strategic initiatives across the organization. This role provides exposure to data preparation, reporting, and cross-departmental analysis using platforms such as Power BI, Snowflake, and Sigma. Data sets may include customer demographics and behavior, internal performance metrics, departmental objectives, and ad hoc strategic needs. The intern will contribute to data-driven decision-making by delivering insights that support operational effectiveness and organizational growth.

Responsibilities

• Report Transition Support
• • Assist in transitioning existing Power BI reports to new platforms such as Snowflake and Sigma.
  • Build or recreate reports in Power BI or Sigma, referencing legacy reports for guidance.
  • Collaborate with the data team to ensure data is prepared and available for use in reporting tools.
• Department Strategic Reporting
• • Meet regularly with selected departments to understand current challenges or goals.
  • Execute weekly report “sprints,” which include gathering relevant data, conducting analysis, and presenting actionable findings.
  • Provide agile, responsive data support for evolving departmental needs.
• Self-Directed Project
• • Choose a project based on personal interests and career goals—whether in dashboards, coding, AI, or machine learning.
  • Potential projects include developing a new dashboard, creating predictive models, or contributing to an internal AI strategy
  • Receive mentorship and support in shaping and executing the project.
• Requirements
• • Currently pursuing a degree in Data Science, Analytics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • Experience with Excel, Power BI, or other BI/reporting tools.
  • Familiarity with SQL and cloud data platforms like Snowflake is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and an analytical mindset.
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage time and projects independently.
