Hologic’s Information Technology (IT) team is seeking an experienced Director, Business Intelligence & Analytics to lead our data modernization initiatives across the company.  The ideal candidate is both a subject matter expert (proven experience with MS Azure, Databricks, Fabric, Power BI and Qlik) and an influential leader; as Hologic continues to evolve, this role will play a critical role as an evangelist, influencer, and strategic partner to matrixed leadership teams across the world. 

Specifically, this role will be responsible for leading the Analytics Modernization Project, driving the strategic direction of our BI and analytics efforts, ensuring data-driven decision-making, and managing a team of talented professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and execute the strategic vision for analytics modernization, aligning with organizational goals and objectives
  • Drive the adoption of modern analytics technologies and methodologies
  • Build an infrastructure and data services ready for AI, ML, and Data Science initiatives

Team Management/Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of BI analysts, developers, and self-service analytics users
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture, encouraging continuous learning and professional development

Projects:

  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of analytics modernization projects
  • Implement and promote self-service analytics data models, enabling citizen developers in the business to build reports independently

Technical Expertise:

  • Utilize Azure services for data storage, processing, and analytics, ensuring cost effective, scalable and reliable solutions
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines, dashboards, mobile apps, and reports, providing actionable insights to stakeholders
  • Data Plane Management / Infrastructure as Code using Bicep and Terraform.

Data Governance:

  • Establish and enforce data governance and quality standards, ensuring data integrity and accuracy across the organization
  • Collaborate with IT and business units to implement data management best practices

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Partner with senior leadership and key stakeholders to identify and prioritize BI and analytics needs
  • Communicate complex data insights and recommendations to non-technical audiences effectively

Innovation and Best Practices:

  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in BI and analytics
  • Continuously evaluate and improve analytics processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Analytics, or a related field
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in BI and analytics
  • Proven experience in leading and managing BI teams and large-scale analytics projects.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills
  • Strong expertise in self-service analytics models
  • Strong experience in cloud analytics/modernization initiatives
  • Proven Experience with IaC, INFOSEC, DEVOPS, FINOPS, SCRUM, CI/CD, test automation, data engineering/modeling
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, DAX, Power Query, and data modeling
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership in a global, matrixed organization 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a data-driven mindset

The annualized base salary range for this role is $157,400 to $279,700 and is bonus eligible.  Final compensation packages will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, geography, education, business needs and market demand.
