About your future role

Are you passionate about data engineering and ready to take your skills to the next level?

We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our data team and play a key role in building and maintaining our AWS-based Data Lakehouse.

You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust data ingestion pipelines, providing a seamless integration of multiple source systems with our data platform. Your focus will be on data quality, reconciliation, and ensuring consistency between source and target systems.
 

Your key responsibilities in this role will be:

• Design, develop, and maintain data ingestion pipelines using AWS services (e.g., Glue, EMR, Lambda, Step Functions, S3, etc.).
• Manage and enhance the ingestion framework, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability. 
• Implement data reconciliation and quality checks to ensure that source and target systems remain aligned. 
• Monitor and troubleshoot data ingestion processes, resolving any failures or inconsistencies. 
• Work closely with data engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to define and improve data integration processes.
• Optimize data workflows for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency. 
• Maintain documentation of data flows, ingestion logic, and quality controls.

✅ Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, software engineering, or related quantitative field.
✅ Strong experience in AWS data services, including Glue, EMR, Lambda, S3, Step Functions, and Athena.
✅ Proficiency in Python and SQL for data processing and pipeline development.
✅ Experience with ETL/ELT frameworks and best practices for large-scale data ingestion.
✅ Knowledge of data quality, reconciliation strategies, and monitoring techniques.
✅ Familiarity with event-driven and batch processing architectures.
✅ Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
✅ Experience with data governance, metadata management, and observability is a plus.
