Climate Arc
Tools and insights to align financial decisions with crucial climate goals.About us
Climate Arc (Arc) is a philanthropic organization working to accelerate climate transitions in the real economy by unlocking the trillions of dollars of private capital required to meet global goals. We ensure that financial decision makers have the tools, data, and skillsets needed to direct capital to the necessary solutions at speed and scale. Arc implements its strategy through grantmaking and proprietary products and programs delivered by our in-house capability.
About the opportunity
On ‘Data’, Arc funds entities that produce raw data and analytics for thousands of entities globally, anchored in climate science, modelled on open access, and enabling a level playing field. Additionally, Arc aggregates the output in a common database that allows for comparability and contextualisation to ensure they are decision-leading and can be absorbed into the financial sector systematically. Climate data and analytics must be open and accessible to allow for financial innovations and to create a solid foundation to shift to the net zero future. We make data available for sectors and regions which are not yet attracting financing at scale.
