Job Description

Position Overview

The Data Analyst, Operations Engineering primarily provides technical support to a large Solar and Storage operating fleet by transforming data into actionable insights & business intelligence, optimizing fleet performance, and guiding data-driven decisions.

Core Responsibilities

  • Curate metrics, KPI’s, and reports that transform equipment information into operational intelligence.
  • Clean and process raw data to remove outliers, errors, and inconsistencies.
  • Transform data into suitable formats for analysis and reporting.
  • Design and maintain reports, dashboards and visualizations that communicate insights to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with operations engineering, asset management, and site management teams to build tools to detect and diagnose underperformance issues.
  • Manage recurring metric reporting processes and identify actionable items.
  • Perform ad-hoc analyses to quantify energy and revenue impact from operational events.
  • Model expected performance scenarios under various operational decisions.
  • Model performance impact of software and hardware upgrades.
  • Support regulatory reporting requirements such as NERC GADS.
  • Utilize the Aveva PI system tools to create real time analyses.

Required Skills

  • Familiarity with Excel and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Excellent problem solving and critical thinking abilities.
  • Front end data visualization knowledge of BI applications
  • Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with the Aveva PI software suite.
  • Familiarity with database environments & query languages (SQL preferred).
  • Proficiency with business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Python or other programming experience.
  • Experience with solar modeling tools such as PVSyst.

Base Pay

$75,000.00 - $95,000.00 USD Annual
Bonus: 0% - 15%

The base pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for the position. Invenergy considers a number of factors when determining base pay offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education and skills.
 
In addition to base pay, the total annual compensation package may also include eligibility to participate in our bonus program(s) which are designed to reward individual and company performance. Your recruiter can share more about bonus eligibility for this position during the hiring process.
