About the Role

We are looking for a DevRel Intern to support our DevRel function in communicating the features and value of Firebolt from a user perspective. This role is an excellent opportunity to get hands-on with the Firebolt product and work in a cross-functional manner with the product, engineering, marketing, and sales teams. While DevRel and this role have a primary focus of building technical demos that showcase Firebolt in action, this also includes presenting the demo, creating a walkthrough and documentation, and ensuring that other members of the Firebolt team understand and can present the same thing themselves.

About the Day-to-Day

  • Build and extend demos to showcase new features, integrations, and the core value of the Firebolt product
  • Organize, centralize, and document code samples and snippets that are created by other members of the Firebolt team
  • Present technical talks to other teams in Firebolt and to external community and meetup groups
  • Write blogs and record videos detailing new features and improvements contained within the bi-weekly Firebolt releases
  • Potentially travel to 1-2 events to represent Firebolt for a conference or general audience

Requirements

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Science, or a related field; or equivalent experience
  • Experience with SQL
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Passion for working with data
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Experience with Python, JavaScript, Go, Java, and/or Git is a plus



Local Pay Range - $40 - $50 per hour USD
