We are in search of a motivated, inquisitive, and results-oriented individual to contribute to our robotics activities within our newly formed AgTech department. ZEISS started a large strategic initiative to leverage our capabilities to bring labor automation solutions to high-end greenhouses, with an initial focus on robotics. Therefore, we established a dedicated team to drive this effort with a start-up like mindset within ZEISS.

Your role
  • Integrate and evaluate robotic prototypes in both simulation and real-world environments, ensuring seamless functionality and performance

  • Develop and implement strategies for robotic arm manipulation

  • Evaluate and upgrade the prototypes following test campaigns in greenhouses under varying conditions

  • Support overall R&D activities, discuss & challenge new ideas

Your profile
  • You are enrolled in a Master’s program in Robotics, Mechatronics or comparable subject and have excellent results

  • Ideally, you have prior experience with the Robot Operating System (ROS). You possess strong knowledge in C++ and/or Python

  • First experience with NVIDIA Isaac is a plus

  • Excellent organization, problem-solving, communication (English and/or German) and innovation skills

  • Passion for innovation and enthusiasm for new technologies as well as motivation to work in agile, interdisciplinary team
