Department Overview

The CFO and CE Cloud Technology function provides systems development, implementation and support services for FIL’s Corporate enabler’s Team.  We support several functions spanning across Business Finance & Management Accounting, Financial Accounting & Analytics, Taxation, Global Procurement, Corporate Treasury, and several other teams in all of FIL’s international locations, including UK, Japan, China and India.

We provide IT services to the Fidelity International businesses, globally. These include development and support of business functions that underpin our financial accounting and decision making for global CFO Orgs, and we implement multiple systems including ERP platforms, home grown apps and third-party products.  We are system providers to key process lifecycles such as Procure to Pay (P2P/Global Procurement), Record to Report (R2R), Order to Cash (O2C) and Acquire to Retire (A2R). We also manage systems to enable cash management, forex trading and treasury operations across the Globe. We own warehouses that consolidate data from across the organisations functions to provide meaningful insights.

The is the role for an experienced automation ETL QA who understands the architecture overall, can understand the systems involved and the integration points etc. The candidate will be required to work closely with the Test lead and the development team to write the functional test scripts and identify the areas which are critical from the end-to-end testing perspective. Experienced automation QA who has worked on medium scale projects on the cloud platforms and programs in the past will be the best fit for this requirement.

Essential Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in ETL and Database testing.

• PL/SQL skills, able to read/write stored procedures, complex query writing, arithmetic function, aggregate functions.

• Experience in a DWH project with clear DWH concepts with understanding of ETL Tools like Informatica etc.

• Experience in job scheduling with tools like Control-M etc.

• Experience in reporting tools like Oracle BIP Report, OBIEE, Tableau etc.

• Experience in UNIX, strong knowledge of UNIX commands and tools like Putty.

• Experience of working on agile, scrum teams and have hands on experience in JIRA & JIRA reporting.

• Excellent knowledge of testing life cycle and hands-on experience in testing deliveries.

• Experience in API automation testing (SOAP and REST)

• Experience in automation testing on database or UI automation testing.

Skills – nice to have:

• Experience in any ERP system preferably in Oracle Fusion.

• Awareness about cloud computing and cloud native services

• Experience in behaviour driven development using tools like Gauge/Cucumber

• Java script or python programming

• Sound knowledge of finance domain.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, track and estimate project testing activities evaluate and learn modern technologies
• Review functional and design specifications to ensure full understanding of individual deliverables.
• Understanding and reviewing project requirements and design documentation to create test artefacts.
• Testing software new releases, fixes and application enhancements, writing and executing test cases and reporting defects.
• Executing test iterations, tracking / reporting results, troubleshooting and coordinating defect resolution.
• Provide accurate and reproducible qualitative defect reporting, bug scrubs, and quality metrics with project core teams
• Own and lead testing for a project, including test strategy development, identifying risks.
• Utilize and extend existing test automation test harnesses
• Understand the entire scope of business activities and participate in enhancing these areas
• Working with multiple teams, vendors and senior stakeholders

Experience and Qualification:

• B.E./B.Tech. or M.C.A. in Computer Science from a reputed University
• 5-8 years of relevant industry experience
