Currently, we are seeking a Senior Data Architect who will oversee data management projects, integrating and analyzing unstructured data, designing systems like data storage and warehouses, and ensuring compliance with database standards using AWS services, RDS, DynamoDB, Snowflake, Python, and DBT for ETL solutions.

What you will be doing:

 

The Senior Data Architect will execute strategic data management projects while maintaining a unified master data framework to ensure precise reporting and analytics. The position focuses on the development and implementation of methods to consolidate and analyze unstructured, diverse data sources, delivering valuable insights. As a Senior Data Architect, you will design, build, and support crucial systems like data storage and warehouse systems, ensuring seamless integration of new data developments with existing structures. A significant aspect of this role is upholding database management standards, emphasizing conceptual design, logical databases, and security policies. You will employ your expertise in AWS data services, RDS, DynamoDB, and Snowflake, while leveraging tools such as Python and DBT to enhance ETL data solutions and backend analytics. Working closely with the team, you'll provide strategic insights into data acquisition, archiving, security, and recovery strategies, contributing to the organization's broader goals. Your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Lead the development and programming of advanced methods, processes, and systems to consolidate, analyze, and generate insights from diverse 'big data' sources for strategic decision-making. 
  • Architect, build, and maintain robust data storage and warehouse systems, ensuring they align with company objectives and efficiently process data. 
  • Create comprehensive documentation and communicate database designs and architectures to cross-functional teams. 
  • Establish and enforce database management standards, guidelines, and quality assurance protocols, including conceptual design, logical database structure, capacity planning, and security policies. 
  • Design and implement cutting-edge data warehouse strategies, encompassing data acquisition, access, archiving, and recovery initiatives. 
  • Oversee data extraction processes, ensuring data accuracy and resolving any issues that arise during data warehouse operations. 
  • Develop innovative methods for collecting and reporting on multiple data types from diverse sources, ensuring data consistency and integration with existing warehouse structures. 
  • Spearhead the design and coding of efficient ETL data solutions using tools like DBT, ensuring seamless data processing and transformation. 
  • Construct and refine complex data models, defining the structure, attributes, and nomenclature of data elements for optimal data management. 
  • Review, validate, and enhance data integrity and accuracy following stakeholder guidelines and system requirements. 
  • Provide expert guidance on database table design and relational model development, ensuring optimal interaction and usage within the database schema.
Requirements & Qualifications
  • Advanced proficiency in AWS Data services, with strong experience in RDS, DynamoDB, S3 Buckets, and Snowflake.
  • Proficient knowledge of Python and Java for data processing and backend analytics.
  • Proficient skill with DBT for designing and writing ETL data solutions.
  • Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL for querying and managing databases.
  • Familiarity with GCP and BigQuery is a plus.
  • Understanding of Spark jobs and general ETL systems.
  • Intermediate understanding of security protocols, including data encryption and access controls.

 

Nice to have:
  • Basic knowledge of GitHub Actions is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Apache Kafka for real-time data streaming
  • Certification in AWS or GC

  • Leadership: Proficient in leading strategic data initiatives, establishing database standards, and ensuring compliance with quality assurance measures, thus fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to embrace diverse 'big data' sources and adapt to evolving technological landscapes, maintaining the integrity and accuracy ofdata solution
