Data driven automation and decision making has never been more important to EE. It will allow us to create the best personal experiences for all our customers across our outbound, inbound assisted and digital channels. This chapter will create a new data capability for Consumer, overseeing the data architecture, tooling and frameworks our engineers and data scientists work with to build and deploy capability, the way we source our data and join it together and it will oversee the quality and availability of that data too.
Your output supports decision making for our key stakeholders through quality and actionable insights to deliver a holistic customer view, while also working closely with the rest of data and decisioning to ensure best practices are shared across the team.
What you’ll be doing
- Drives decision-making using the power of data and insights
- Develops strong relationships with our internal customers across the business, to help them drive their KPIs.
- Delivers and owns self-serve dashboards that provide a deep understanding of our products, how the business is performing and the key drivers.
- Produces high-quality, actionable insights to deliver a holistic customer view
- Develops high quality analysis, leveraging self-serve and automation wherever possible, and ensures that the data being used is accurate and timely.
- Analyses data from multiple sources, including digital and offline sources where needed
- Acts as the subject matter expert for specific business analysis, providing input into development of new products and ensuring high quality analysis is delivered to support the business.
- Leads on projects to deliver end to end solution: including requirements capture and designing the content and App, as well as working with developers and data managers in getting the data to build the App.
- Maintains quality governance and controls to ensure consistent and accurate analysis is produced.
- Focuses on process improvement and technology automation to improve our customers’ experience and efficiency, driving deeper extensive use of insight and analysis.
- Takes a holistic view of the analysis requirements from the business and uses expertise to interpret systems, processes and data to design brilliant solutions.
- Owns relationships with senior stakeholders around the business to ensure we are embedding ourselves within the decision making process.
- Helps coach the business to interpret analyses and reports better, to improve their data literacy.
- Supports junior members of the team from a technical standpoint to ensure we are constantly upskilling
Skills required for the job
- Experience in working with customer facing/impacting functions like Sales, Marketing, Commercial, Base Value & Personalisation, etc is important for the role
- Experience of using analytics and reporting to uncover valuable insights for your stakeholders
- Analysis of data in the cloud (GCP, Big Query)
- Build automated Qlik apps with advance deep dives functionality.
- Strong Excel Skills
- Application of quality assurance best practice.
- Ability to ensure outputs are accurate, tightly aligned to brief and consistent with all team outputs
- Experience of analysing and synthesizing large multi-million customer databases
- Ability to automate reports
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Ability to engage with senior stakeholders and drive decisions using data
- Ability to independently manage priorities across concurrent projects and phase deliveries

Experience you would be expected to have
Qualifications:
- 10 years of experience in Marketing/Customer Analytics across martech platforms
- Advanced technical skills in SQL and Qlik Sense, with a solid understanding of marketing operations tools (Adobe, Salesforce, Marketo, GCP).
- A Marketing qualification is desirable, but not essential.
Experience:
- Proven experience in a similar role within a marketing or analytics-focused environment, demonstrating strong expertise in SQL and Qlik Sense.
- Familiarity with Python or other data manipulation techniques is an added advantage.
- Experienced in interacting with senior stakeholders under tight delivery timelines.
- Should have worked with people from other business locations or functions.
- Preferrable experience working with multiple marketing data sources – e.g. media data, onsite data, BTL data, call centre data, lead gen data
