As a Senior Data Governance Analyst you will influence & educate broad business and technology functions on the importance of adopting good data governance practices and implement & manage data governance tools, frameworks and processes that enable them to do so effectively. 

 

 

What you’ll be doing 

  • Partner with stakeholders throughout the organization to influence and a drive data governance culture & meet our regulatory commitments regarding the management of sensitive data
  • Define, build & manage creative, effective frameworks, procedures and supporting workflows that enable business data stewards to adopt and implement data governance policies
  • Build and manage complex data catalogs, lineage and quality monitoring services that deliver data democratization, literacy and trust.
  • Take a central role in requirements gathering, design, development, user acceptance, training and adoption of data governance tools, frameworks, and procedures
  • Build, monitor and report scorecards on user adoption and application of data governance policies, frameworks and procedures
  • Contribute to the development of data stewardship models and best practices
  • Support VP of Data Governance in the administration of councils / working groups / committees, including agenda planning, coordinating attendance, capturing decisions and tracking of work assignments from councils, committees

 

What you will need to be successful

  • 5+ years of experience designing, delivering and managing data governance frameworks and proceedures
  • Strong understanding of use and application of RACI models to quickly and efficiently design frameworks, procedures and workflows
  • Exceptional ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with broad groups of business and technology partners
  • Experience developong and using Microsoft Purview, Monte Carlo or comparable data governance tools
  • Understanding and exposure to EDM Council Cloud Data Management Capabilities Assessment (CDMC)
  • Working knowledge of DAMA Data Management Book of Knowledge (DMBoK)
  • Experience delivering data governance in SaaS based business technology architectures
  • Experience working in Healthcare or Financial Services based organizations
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, data management or computer science or comparable experience

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations Preferred:

 

  • DAMA CDMP Associate or higher
  • Microsoft Security Operations Analyst Associate

This is a remote position.

Salary Range

$104500.00 To $130,000 / year

The actual compensation offer is determined based on job-related knowledge, education, skills, experience, and work location.
