The Opportunity:
The Senior Data and Reporting Analyst is a critical role responsible for unlocking the value of data to drive strategic decision-making and operational efficiency. This individual will leverage advanced analytical techniques, data visualization, and storytelling to provide actionable insights that inform business strategy and improve performance. By partnering closely with cross-functional teams, the Senior Data and Reporting Analyst will play a pivotal role in shaping the organisation's data-driven culture.
Job Responsibilities:
Data Analysis and Insights:
Develop and execute complex data analyses to uncover trends, patterns, and correlations.
Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop metrics to measure business performance.
Conduct in-depth data exploration and modelling to support strategic initiatives.
Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on data-driven findings.
Reporting and Visualisation:
Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive and user-friendly reports and dashboards.
Utilise data visualisation tools to create impactful and interactive reports.
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness in all reporting.
Automate reporting processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
Data Management:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and ensure data quality.
Implement data governance and quality control processes.
Optimise data structures and storage for efficient analysis.
Stakeholder Management:
Build strong relationships with stakeholders to understand their data needs.
Proactively communicate data insights and findings to key stakeholders.
Educate stakeholders on data-driven decision-making.
Team Development:
Mentor and develop data analysts.
Contribute to the development of data analytics capabilities within the organisation.
Requirements:
Degree in computer science, data science or equivalent qualification in related specialised field. Alternatively, candidates qualified by experience who have experience working in a professional role within the field of data.
Working experience with ERP and/or CRM systems (preferably Workday and/or Salesforce).
Proven experience in data analysis, reporting, and visualization.
Strong proficiency in data manipulation and analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R).
Expertise in data visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
Experience with data warehousing and ETL processes.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
