The following position is to join our RTX Enterprise Data Services (ES -Data) Team: 

 

RTX’s Enterprise Data Services (ES-Data) group has an opening for a Sr. Manager, Data Governance Manager (Senior Manager, Business Systems and Transformation) supporting RTX’s focus on Digital Thread/Data Strategy as part of our enterprise-wide Digital Transformation initiative. 

 

Exciting Opportunity! 

  • We are looking for a focused and hands on champion of data governance, offering business unit (BU) consulting, adoption methods, training, and communications to ensure strategic and high-value projects leverage data governance to drive adoption and value for RTX.  
  • They will partner with colleagues across RTX businesses, ES and Corporate to help shape, scope and deliver Data Governance associated to ES-Data products to ensure successful adoption and continued collaboration.  

 

What You Will Do:

·         Partner with BUs to understand tactical Data Governance requirements for projects and wider BU or RTX initiatives 

·         Collaborates with technical and functional teams in building and monitoring standard Data Governance workflows, standardization and best practices 

·         Participate in cross-functional team meetings to identify and resolve data governance issues 

·         Support Data Governance team to provide progress reports to ES-Data Senior Leadership Team, and BU and Corporate Data Board management 

·         Support the delivery of status, reporting and key updates 

·         Be an advocate for data governance requirements across ES-Data projects and initiative as an enabler for all data work.  Monitors adherence to Data Governance policies and procedures, and reports findings to the appropriate stakeholders 

·         Provide project support to ensure Data Governance requirements are being captured at the beginning of any engagement  

·         Support and coordinate the delivery of a robust Data Governance training roadmap for RTX 

·         Create and manage the continuous development of documentation, as data governance capabilities grow and scale. 

·         Support and facilitate the design of scalable data governance technology platform solutions that meet multiple business needs across RTX. 

·         Capture requirements to improve and build task management workflows for data governance capabilities 

·         Perform data alignment analysis and document Data Governance polices and processes to support Data Governance 

·         Travel up to 10-20% domestically

 

 Qualifications You Must Have: 

·         Minimum of 10+ years of analysis, data management and process documentation experience and a bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology or related discipline or equivalent combination of related work experience and schooling in lieu of degree; Advanced degree and 8+ years’ related work experience.

·         Experience in Data Governance practices, and associated technologies.

·         Knowledge of specific Data Governance needs, regulatory requirements, and business objectives. 

·         Experience with Data Governance Framework establishment and enablement. 

·         U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements. 

 

Qualifications We Prefer:

·          Familiarity with the defense and aerospace industry business domain knowledge.  

·         Demonstrated experience collaborated with various stakeholders, including business leaders, IT teams, data stewards, and compliance officers.

·          Effective stakeholder management, negotiation skills, and the ability to build relationships are crucial for successful implementation. 

·         Demonstrated data management, process improvement, workflow, benchmarking, and/or evaluation of business processes.

·         Ability to travel 10-20% domestically

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
