We are seeking a skilled Senior QA – Data Quality and Appliance to join our team and play a key role in developing and implementing data-driven solutions that enhance business intelligence capabilities.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and lead quality assurance strategies focused on data validation, device-level testing, and system reliability.

• Develop and execute advanced test plans for functional, regression, performance, and appliance-level testing.

• Build and maintain automated testing frameworks with a focus on large-scale data quality, edge device behavior, and end-to-end validation.

• Conduct root cause analysis for complex issues involving data anomalies, sync issues, or appliance misbehavior.

• Collaborate with data engineers, backend developers, and product managers to refine test coverage for data ingestion, transformation, and appliance logic.

• Oversee data validation across APIs, databases, and stream processing pipelines, ensuring high accuracy and trust in analytics outcomes.

• Perform firmware and appliance testing, including failover, reconnection logic, device simulation, and update handling.

• Mentor junior QA engineers on data-centric QA approaches and device reliability techniques.

• Drive continuous improvement in test automation coverage, observability in test environments, and preventative QA practices.

• Integrate quality practices across CI/CD pipelines and collaborate with DevOps for automated deployment verification.

• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, bringing a data quality and appliance reliability lens to discussions.

• Stay up to date with trends in data QA, edge computing QA, and smart appliance testing strategies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.

• 5+ years of QA experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead QA role.

• Proven experience with data quality assurance, ETL pipeline testing, and high-throughput systems.

• Strong hands-on experience with Selenium, Cypress, or similar automation tools.

• Proficiency in scripting or programming (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Java) for automation and data validation.

• Experience with JMeter, Locust, or equivalent for performance and stress testing.

• Familiarity with data profiling, schema validation, and anomaly detection techniques.

• Experience testing hardware appliances, embedded software, or IoT-style edge devices.

• Exposure to firewall testing, network security validation, and protocol-level diagnostics is highly desirable.

• Hands-on API testing using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or custom scripting.

• Solid understanding of Agile practices, Scrum, and shift-left quality approaches.

• Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on clarity and influence.
