About your new Role

As the Reporting and Data Analyst within VGA you will be responsible for steering our sales reporting and dashboards by working with relevant stakeholders. The role will support the analysis of market changes, segment development and identify the corresponding requirements for VGA. The role will also provide support for the group’s key strategic projects. This role is a 24 month contract reporting to the Head of strategy and Special Projects and is based in our Zetland Head office.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Lead the development of Sales analytics to steer VGA in cooperation with the brands
• Development of data visualisations including dashboards, reports and charts specifically within the Power BI platform
• Create innovative solutions that automate data, analytics and insights
• Provide data insights for use in monthly board meetings
• Prepare presentations for key stakeholders to illustrate key data trends
• Support the Head of Strategy and Special Projects with data and insights for use in core governance meetings

About you

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following:

• Tertiary qualification in Computer Science/Data Science/Engineering/ Statistics and Mathematics or similar academic qualification required
• Extensive experience working within sales/data/reporting or a similar role within automotive preferred
• Experience in data collection, identifying data sources, organising data in usable formats, and setting up data infrastructure and or models
• Advanced working experience with Business Intelligence tools, specifically Power BI and MS excel
• Strong MS PowerPoint presentation skills
• Strong problem-solving abilities using quantitative and qualitative data
• Ability to write and speak clearly to easily communicate complex ideas in a way that is easy to understand
• Professionalism and ability to handle multiple priorities, demonstrating sound judgment
