Overview

SRI’s Computer Science Laboratory (CSL) develops leading-edge tools and methods for areas including computer security, high-assurance systems, advanced user interfaces, and computer networking. CSL is seeking to hire a Computer Scientist student to support data analysis in Human-Computer Interaction research studies with an emphasis on cyber security and workflow identification and automation.

Responsibilities

  • Co-develop data metrics
  • Lead implementation of metrics algorithms
  • Develop (design and implement) graphical visualizations for analysis results 
  • In collaboration with team members, develop sensing and actuation software in the context of cyber security use cases

Qualifications

  • Current Masters student majoring in Computer Science 
  • Programming Languages: Python, C++, C, C#, React, React Redux, Pytorch, TensorFlow, Java, JavaScript
  • Extensive experience in applying Machine Learning (clustering, factor analysis, etc.), Computer Vision and Natural Language Processing approaches in practice
  • Other skills: SQL, AWS, MS Office
  • Document leadership skills

The salary range is: $40/hr. Salary ranges will vary and are based on several factors, including geographic location, market competitiveness and equity amongst internal employees in similar roles. Positions may also qualify for SRI's Pay for Outstanding Performance program or the annual Performance Based Compensation program.
