The Role
12-month Fixed Term Contract - Maternity Cover
Working within the marketing team, this role conducts research and gathers data using various methods, interpreting trends, and providing conclusions and reports, and presenting findings to internal stakeholders. Reporting to the Strategic Marketing Director, the role will be wide ranging in a fast paced and challenging environment. This role will play a crucial role in helping the business understand consumer preferences, market dynamics, and have a live view of competitive landscape.
Working hours: 37 hours per week, Monday–Thursdays 9am–5pm and Fridays 9am – 4:30pm.
Working style: Office based, with potential to work from home 1 day a week.
Responsibilities
Research industry regulations and guidelines
Compile and interpret data from industry reports
Collecting data on customer types, competitors and marketplace and consolidating information and translating into actionable items, reports and presentations
Compiling and analysing statistical data using modern and traditional methods to collect it
Perform valid and reliable market research SWOT analysis on all competitors
Analyse market trends, pricing/business models, messaging, value propositions, sales and methods of operation
Translate research findings into actionable insights with clear recommendations/implications and produce highly effective communication to support new product development and PMM
Monitoring the progress of data collection and having a live view of competitive landscape
Quantitative and qualitative research to support new product development, product research and campaign development
Conducting customer surveys both digitally and face to face
Work with cross-departmental project teams
The Person

Being able to draw conclusion and recommendations based on research
