Compensation Range

Annual Salary: $62,000.00 - $94,500.00 (Amount based on relevant experience, skills, and competencies.)

About This Job

The main purpose of this job is to provide essential data analysis and reporting that are crucial to making smart business decisions for the Private Bank, a division of Commerce Trust.  This job will support multiple simultaneous initiatives surrounding process improvements, complex data analysis and data integrity.  This job will work with with management to develop, interpret and implement reporting and data integrity best practices to drive strategic planning, budgeting and on-going support.   This job will also be responsible for the accurate and timely execution of monthly/quarterly/annual internal management reporting processes to support business initiatives.

Essential Functions                                                                                                                                          

  • Collaborate and provide guidance to others, at all levels in the organization, to identify, understand & fulfill business reporting and/or data needs

  • Design, test, and assess data prior to producing results

  • Utilize various data sources to generate reports, data analytics, file transmissions etc.

  • Identify problem trends in data and make recommendations for improvements/solutions to management

  • Clean up data with ongoing oversight into data integrity based on business standards

  • Collect data and update systems information via manual input or upload

  • Assist Commerce Trust Company (CTC) team members with various systems projects, as requested

  • Identify and maintain documentation of data sources and business unit resources

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

  • Strong knowledge of data analytics, including best practices.  Expertise in available data sources and tools.

  • Ability to communicate in user-friendly language to both technical and non-technical end-users

  • Effective relationship-building skills

  • Intermediate database knowledge

  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve

  • Demonstrate ability to analyze information and identify transactions outside normal patterns

  • Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Inquisitive, agile, and strong team player with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values

  • Moderate to Advanced level proficiency with data extraction tools and technologies (prefer ACL, Business Objects, AQT, SQL or similar) and familiarity with databases

  • Advanced level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Teams, and Outlook  

  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or Business, or equivalent combination of education and experience required

  • 4+ years experience in data analytics required

  • Experience in finance or wealth management preferred
