JOB SUMMARY

As the Data Integration Lead, you will play a pivotal role in driving the design, development, and implementation of integrated digital solutions, leveraging Salesforce and MuleSoft to ensure seamless data integration, scalability, and high performance across the organization. This role combines leadership of the Salesforce development team, workday development team, management of database architecture, and oversight of data compliance, security, and automation processes. You will be responsible for crafting strategies that optimize system performance, data integrity, and integration, while collaborating closely with stakeholders to ensure data-driven decision-making. Additionally, you will design architecture diagrams to represent systems and data flows, and collaborate with the enterprise architecture team to align technical solutions with organizational goals. Your expertise in load balancing strategies for Azure SQL databases and database management will be crucial in ensuring high availability and efficient resource utilization.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field required (or equivalent experience)
  • Master’s degree preferred or equivalent professional experience.

Work Experience

  • 8+ years of experience in data architecture, database management, Salesforce, Workday, and/or MuleSoft development.
  • 4+ years in a leadership role, managing teams focused on Salesforce development, data integration, HRIS development, and/or data and database management.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale data integration projects, with hands-on experience in database design, scalability, and performance optimization.
  • Experience implementing and managing automated processes and workflows within Salesforce and MuleSoft ecosystems.
  • Expertise in managing data compliance, security protocols, and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards (e.g., HIPAA).
  • Extensive experience in cloud platforms (Salesforce, AWS, Azure) and integration tools such as MuleSoft.
  • Familiarity with database management tools (e.g., SQL, Oracle, NoSQL), and best practices for data storage and retrieval.
  • Hands-on experience with data migration, ETL processes, and complex data architectures.

Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

  • Strong proficiency and understanding of Salesforce development, including custom development using Apex, Lightning Web Components, and Visualforce.
  • Expertise in MuleSoft design patterns, API management, and integrations.
  • In-depth knowledge of database architectures, performance tuning, and data modeling.
  • Familiarity with data governance, security, and compliance standards.
  • Strong understanding of ETL tools and automation frameworks.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, align on goals, and deliver scalable solutions.
  • Experience and familiarity with cloud-based databases and data warehousing technologies (e.g., Azure SQL, Amazon RDS, Google BigQuery, Snowflake).
  • Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Preferred

  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Experience with microservices architecture and serverless computing.
  • Experience working with and developing for Workday
  • Familiarity with AI/ML concepts for data analytics and predictive modeling.

  • Lead the Data Integration development team (Salesforce, Mulesoft, and Workday), ensuring high-quality deliverables and adherence to best practices.
  • Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance database architectures to support business needs.
  • Oversee data integration efforts between Salesforce, MuleSoft, Workday, and other enterprise systems to ensure seamless data flow.
  • Develop and implement automated processes to streamline data operations and improve operational efficiency.
  • Lead data migration, database optimization, and performance tuning efforts to ensure data integrity and system reliability.
  • Design and implement load balancing strategies for Azure SQL databases to ensure high availability, optimal performance, and efficient resource utilization across distributed environments.
  • Ensure data compliance with industry regulations and organizational standards, and proactively manage security risks.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive architecture diagrams that represent the integration and interaction of systems, databases, and APIs across the organization.
  • Create clear, detailed system architecture diagrams to visually communicate technical solutions, data flows, and system dependencies to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external vendors to define requirements and implement effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with the enterprise architecture team to ensure alignment of data architecture, system designs, and integration strategies with broader organizational goals and standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive continuous improvement in digital solutions.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior developers and engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system architecture, process and data flows, and compliance guidelines.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across the Salesforce and MuleSoft environments.
