About the Role
Anglicare is excited to offer an exceptional opportunity for a Lead Data Architect to join our Information Technology team. This is a key leadership role focused on designing, implementing, and optimising innovative and scalable data architectures that will help us address existing challenges and capability gaps.

You’ll work alongside cross-functional teams, including the Enterprise Data Platform & Services Team, Risk and Security, and business stakeholders, to ensure our data architecture and data management aligns with Anglicare’s strategic goals.

This is a Permanent Full-Time role based at our head office. You’ll be reporting directly to the GM of Strategy & Architecture, with close relationships with senior leadership across IT and the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Data Architecture: Lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure data architectures to support Anglicare’s strategic goals and AI adoption.

  • Data Models: Develop and maintain Master Data Models (MDM) and Corporate Data Models (CDM) for structured and unstructured data.

  • Data Integration: Oversee integration of internal systems (ERP, Finance, HR) with the Enterprise Data Platform.

  • Cloud Solutions: Implement cloud-native data platforms (primarily Azure) and best practices for data storage, processing, and performance.

  • Governance & Security: Establish data governance frameworks and collaborate with Risk & Security to ensure data privacy and compliance.

  • Analytics Enablement: Architect data layers for reporting and analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) to support business insights.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data architecture aligns with business needs and compliance requirements.

  • Project Leadership: Lead data-related projects, ensuring timely and effective delivery.

Key Skills:

  • Expertise in data architecture, integration, and governance, particularly with Azure and cloud-native solutions.

  • Proven ability to design and implement scalable, secure data platforms.

  • Strong understanding of data architecture concepts, data modelling and data management including data quality management concepts.

  • Excellent communication skills for translating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Leadership experience with cross-functional teams in delivering data solutions.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred).

  • Demonstrated experience as a Data Architect with hands-on experience in implementing enterprise-level data architectures.

  • Strong experience with Azure and other cloud platforms, data platforms (e.g., Databricks), and modern data technologies.

  • Experience working across complex, multi-stakeholder environments, particularly in the non-profit or social services sector (desirable).

  • Certifications in cloud technologies (e.g., Azure) and/or data management methodologies are a plus.
