Job Overview

The IT Data Analyst is responsible for working with business units and internal development teams to ensure data related needs are met.  This includes analyzing data related support tickets, new reports, extracts, data integrations, data quality checks, data User Story refinement, and analyzing data related support tickets.   This position will play a role in Citadel’s Data Working Team and specifically work closely with the Data Architect and Data Developer to support data solutions based on business requirements

Responsibilities

  • Analyze incoming data related support and reporting requests and create/refine user stories to be added to the development backlog
  • Create custom ad-hoc reports and extracts in ARCU or EDS based on business requirements.
  • Identify data quality issues and work with internal development and vendors to address them
  • Monitor and provide support for all ETL processes and ensure they are running fast, effectively and accurately.
  • Support the complete software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, specifications, development, change management, testing and deployment activities in accordance with Best Practices and Code Standards.
  • Work with IT resources to ensure that database systems are optimized for performance
  • Provide 24x7 support and address any errors in processing
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for the Data Working Team and IT Management
  • Work with the Data Architect to maintain the corporate data dictionary
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
  • Accurate and precise attending to detail
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal team members and customers using good verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Carry out other duties as may be assigned or requested

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • 5+ years of IT Experience with at least 3-5 years of that experience in Data Analysis
  • Experience in the Financial Services industry is preferred.
  • Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, Reporting Services, SSIS, and SQL Profiler
  • Experience working with BI teams and understanding data/business requirements.
  • Proficiency in source code control and versioning using tools such as Azure DevOps, and Git
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau.
  • Knowledge of data science and advanced database technologies

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.  Shows initiative, strong client relationship building skills, organizational skills, and interpersonal skills.  Ability to view issues and projects in a broad scope.  Strong written and verbal skills.  

Education

  • BS Degree in Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Analysis or related field.
