Data Architect

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Objective: GCP Data Architect role is to design and implement scalable data solutions on Google Cloud Platform, integrating SAP systems and leveraging QlikSense for data visualization and analytics. 

Data Architecture and Design:
•    Design and implement scalable, secure, and efficient data architectures on GCP.
•    Develop data models and pipelines to support business intelligence and analytics initiatives.
•    Integrate SAP systems with GCP to ensure seamless data flow and processing.

SAP Integration:
•    Lead the integration of SAP systems with GCP, ensuring data consistency and reliability.
•    Collaborate with SAP functional and technical teams to understand data requirements and design appropriate solutions.
•    Develop and maintain ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from SAP to GCP.

QlikSense Implementation:
•    Design and develop QlikSense applications to visualize and analyze data stored in GCP.
•    Create dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
•    Collaborate with business users to understand their reporting needs and deliver solutions that meet their requirements.

Data Governance and Security:
•    Implement data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality, security, and compliance.
•    Monitor and optimize data pipelines to ensure performance and scalability.
•    Stay updated with the latest GCP, SAP, and QlikSense technologies and best practices.

Experience

Minimum of 15+ years of experience in a Data Architect role, supporting warehouse and big data platforms/cloud environments.

Industry Preferred

Manufacturing - Preferably Auto & Ancillary Business

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

General Requirements

Primary Skills (Technical Skills):
•    Proficient in GCP services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Storage, Cloud Composer, Data Fusion and Cloud Functions.
•    Experience with SAP data extraction tools and APIs.
•    Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
•    Familiarity with ETL tools and data integration platforms.
•    Experience with data modelling and schema design
