Compensation: $70,000-$140,000 annually

As a Technical Data Analyst (TDA), you will play a critical role in shaping and supporting our Data Platforms, Applications, and Reporting systems. Our TDA’s collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Design teams to ensure seamless development and integration of data solutions. Responsibilities will include analyzing new data sources, creating data mappings, establishing validation rules, and documenting business processes to enhance our data platforms. Additionally, the TDA drives the adoption of data-driven decision-making by increasing awareness and knowledge of data and business processes across the organization, thereby fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Primary Duties (Responsibilities)
- Cultivate strong partnerships with Product, Engineering, and Design teams to facilitate the development and integration of data-driven solutions.
- Collaborate with Product Managers to analyze and assess requirements, performing detailed data analysis to determine their feasibility.
- Adopt and enforce best practices in data analysis, test design, validation, and documentation to enhance the quality and supportability of solutions.
- Perform detailed data discovery and knowledge capture to document data sources, business processes, and data flows.
- Educate team members on automotive retail data and business logic to enhance their ability to deliver high-impact, industry-specific solutions.
- Assist in addressing complex support situations by reviewing and understanding data and logic flows to identify and solve problems effectively.
- Capture and document solutions to complex issues and conduct knowledge transfer to support teams to enable them to resolve similar problems independently.
- Create data mappings, document transformation logic and validation rules, and lead knowledge transfer sessions to ensure accurate data processing and integrity.
- Regularly review and assess data quality and accuracy, implementing improvements as needed to maintain high standards of data integrity and reliability.
- Proactively share knowledge of technology opportunities and risks with business and IT stakeholders alike to build competitive advantage and improve efficiency and effectiveness of business departments.
Qualifications
Skills
- Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and to communicate complex technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Understanding of the automotive retail and lending industry, including knowledge of dealership operations, dealership management systems, inventory management systems, and CRM solutions strongly preferred
- Robust analytical capabilities to interpret data, solve complex business and data challenges, and develop effective solutions.
- A blend of technical, business, and financial knowledge, along with an understanding of industry and technology trends, to recommend and implement innovative technological solutions.
- Strong skills in managing multiple projects and initiatives concurrently, ensuring timely and effective execution.
- Strong SQL development skills and preferred experience with Snowflake
Education
- 4-year Degree in Computer Science or related field, or an equivalent in education and experience.
Experience
- 3+ years of experience in data analysis, business analysis, or a similar role, with exposure to the automotive retail and lending industry strongly preferred
Certifications
- Snowflake certification preferred
