We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Data Architect to join our team focused on leveraging large real-world healthcare datasets to advance health research. This role will lead the design, development, and implementation of our data architecture focused on generating precomputed insights, data profiling and summarization, and data quality reporting. The ideal candidate is a hands-on architect with deep understanding of data warehousing, data modeling, ETL processes, and data visualization, as well as experience working with healthcare data and knowledge of electronic health records (EHR).

 

At Oracle Health Data Intelligence (HDI), we combine Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Oracle Healthcare platforms, and advanced analytics to transform healthcare through data-driven insights. Our team builds high-performance data products that improve care delivery and health outcomes on a global scale.

Responsibilities:
 
  • Lead the design and architecture of our data platform, optimizing for performance and scalability.
  • Develop and maintain data models for performance-tuned, staged insights of EHR and claims real-world data sets.
  • Implement and manage ETL processes to ingest, transform, and load data from various sources, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
  • Develop and implement data quality reporting to surface transparent information about our datasets to researchers.
  • Clean, curate, and standardize data elements, resolving inconsistencies, improving data quality, and filling gaps in missing data where applicable.
  • Collaborate with researchers to understand their data needs and translate them into technical requirements.
  • Mentor and guide junior data architects and analysts.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest data architecture trends and technologies, particularly within the healthcare and life sciences domains.
  • Contribute to the development of data governance policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 8-10 years of relevant work experience
  • 3+ years of experience working with healthcare data (EHR, claims, etc.)
  • Deep understanding of data modeling techniques
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with data warehousing
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI). Oracle Analytics Cloud preferred.
  • Understanding of data quality management principles and practices
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work independently and across teams. Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $96,800 to $223,400 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
