We are hiring a R&D Scientist Intern - Data Scientist. The R&D Scientist Intern - Data Scientist will provide R&D support of projects in product and process development by conducting laboratory research under the guidance of a supervisor.

Job Description
Responsibilities
- Plan laboratory experiments in the area of Analytics and Data Sciences
- Develop and create new experimental framework for data collection, interpretation and analysis to support new product and/or technology
- Transfer data into new formats as needed for appropriate
- Analyze data and build statistical models
- Prepare formal reports and presentations for group meetings
- Actively participate in group/project meetings
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications
- Good Documentation Practices & Good Laboratory Practices
Required Skills/Education
- Must be at least a 2nd year Bachelor's student and a returning student for the next semester or higher level education.
- General lab safety
- Ability to effectively learn and acquire new knowledge and skills
- Problem solving capabilities to accomplish tasks
- Ability to use professional concepts to perform assigned work and solve complex problems
- Ability to demonstrate potential for technical proficiency, scientific creativity, collaboration with others and independent thought
- Understanding of mammalian cell culturing, experience a plus- need to understand where the data is coming from.
- Programming knowledge with languages such as Python, R, and others
- General knowledge of commonly used experimental/research concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Broad and extensive knowledge of Bioinformatics and Data Science
- General knowledge of computer systems and productivity software.
- General knowledge of GMP and GLP procedures.
- Ability to speak and read English.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
Salary and Benefits:
- For California, the base hourly range for this position is $19.00 - $25.00/ hour. Compensation for the successful candidate will depend on various factors (e.g., qualifications, education, prior experience, location, etc.).
