Main Responsibilities

• Involved in data management activities such as business and technical requirements gathering, data collections and ingestions, design data architecture, develop data pipelines and data model, as well as deploy and maintain/monitor performance of the pipelines.

• Identify, implement, and maintain internal process improvements such as automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability.

• Work with data from multiple systems of records so that the data can be used for reporting purposes, following best practice standards.

• Global data platform application support including system enhancement/upgrade, change management, housekeeping, report generation etc and also user support

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor degree in Information Technology / Computer Science from a recognised university.

• Relevant certification in data engineering and data science not limited to Microsoft Azure Fundamentals, Microsoft Azure Data Engineer, Microsoft Azure Data Scientist etc.

Work experience

• Experienced Associate with 1 - 2 years of relevant experience.

• ETL developer with experience in these technical requirements:

1) Hands-on experience in Azure cloud services like Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Analytics Services (AAS), Azure Blob Storage, Azure Synapse, Azure ML, SSIS, SSMS and Azure Databricks.

2) Experience with SQL development, scripting and programming.

3) Hands-on experience with ETL tools not limited to Alteryx, Talend, Pentaho.

4) Familiar with visualization tools not limited to PowerBI, Tableau.

5) Familiar with the data science and statistical tools such as Python, R.

6) Familiar with Enterprise Data Management (EDM) tools not limited to Azure Purview, EA Sparx, Informatica and/or IBM Sphere.

Good to have skills

• DAX for PowerBI.

• PowerShell for extension and automation of ADF.

• Hands-on experience with Enterprise Data Warehousing (EDW), Data Lake or Data Platform will be an added advantage.

• Hands-on experience with public and private Cloud such as AWS, GCP, Alicloud, Cloudera.
