What We Need:
2K Games is building a world-class data ecosystem to power real-time analytics, machine learning, and game intelligence across all our franchises. We are looking for a Senior Technical Product Manager, Data Science to drive the vision, strategy, and execution of our data science strategies and products, partnering with game studios and analytics teams to enable enhanced player experiences.
This role requires a blend of strategic development, product management expertise, and technical knowledge of data engineering technologies. The ideal candidate will be equally comfortable defining strategic roadmaps, collaborating with stakeholders, and engaging with engineering teams on complex data projects.
What You’ll Do:
Strategic Vision & Product Leadership

Develop and implement the product strategy for 2K’s central data engineering platform, including real-time and batch telemetry pipelines, managed data layers, and other analytical data products;

Develop a customer-focused data engineering product roadmap to support key gaming milestones across 2K widening portfolio of games across PC, console, and mobile;

Collaborate with the Director of Product, 2K Data to align the data engineering roadmap with customer objectives and player-centric outcomes;

Act as a strategic partner to technical teams and business units, translating complex data needs into clear, outcome-driven product requirements;

Define and track key performance indicators for data engineering efficiency, data latency, and platform adoption;

Regularly present roadmap progress, success metrics, and strategic insights to executive customers.
Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with analytics teams, business intelligence analysts, data scientists, and game studios to understand their data needs and deliver self-service data solutions;

Engage with legal and compliance teams to ensure all data products meet CCPA, GDPR, COPPA and other regulatory standards;

Identify cross-functional opportunities to integrate innovative data technologies and best practices into our ecosystem;

Support key initiatives to enhance data quality, governance, and security, in partnership with teams in and out of the broader data organization.
What Will Make You A Great Fit

7+ years of product management experience, with a focus on data engineering, data infrastructure, or business intelligence products;

5+ years of experience in gaming, technology, or entertainment industries;

Customer-focused mentality with focus on the Why and What without getting lost in the What and the How;

Functional knowledge of batch and real-time data technologies, such as Apache Kafka, Spark Streaming, AWS Kinesis, Databricks and Snowflake;

Proven track record in leading complex data products from concept to launch, with an emphasis on scalability and performance;

Experience with data governance frameworks, compliance requirements, and data privacy standard methodologies;

Ability to balance technical depth with strategic vision, ensuring data products meet business needs and technical standards;

Strong demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers, peers, and across teams;

Bachelor's or Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Business Economics, Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field is preferred;

Experience in supporting game lifecycles from alpha testing to post-launch preferred.

The pay range for this position in California at the start of employment is expected to be between $109,800 and $162,480 per Year. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an 'at-will position' and the company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
