OptionMetrics is seeking a highly motivated Quantitative Analyst Intern to join our team for the Summer 2025 internship program. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience working with a leading provider of options market data and analytics.
As a Quantitative Analyst Intern, you will support the research and development of financial models, analyze large datasets, and contribute to the enhancement of our proprietary tools and methodologies. You’ll work closely with experienced quants and developers, gaining valuable exposure to the intersection of finance and technology.
This is hybrid position based in our NYC office.
What You’ll Do: •Clean, organize, and analyze large option price datasets.•Write and maintain code in both R and Python to support research and data processing.•Develop a deep understanding of financial data structures, particularly in the context of options markets.•Contribute to ongoing research initiatives by performing data analysis, building models, and supporting project development.
Skills You’ll Need: •Hands-on experience programming in R and Python.•Experience with data handling.•A background in finance, statistics, or math. Knowledge of finance is a plus. •Ability to provide a small code sample for review.
