Your Impact

As a Senior Data Engineer on our Corporate Data Engineering team, you will play a critical role in building a best-in-class cloud data platform using Snowflake, DBT, and Fivetran. Your work will shape how data flows across Axon’s business, empowering teams like Finance, Sales, and Manufacturing with reliable insights. This is a high-impact, hands-on technical role that will elevate both our data capabilities and your own career trajectory.

What You’ll Do

Location: This role does require you to be based within commutable distance to one of our main R&D US Based Hubs (Scottsdale, AZ OR Boston, MA, OR Seattle, WA, OR Atlanta, GA OR San Francisco, CA); flexibility to be remote 
Reports to: Senior Director, Data & AI
Direct Reports: None (Individual Contributor)

  • Design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines and models using Snowflake and DBT.
  • Contribute to the implementation and evolution of Axon’s cloud-native corporate data platform.
  • Ensure platform quality through rigorous testing, monitoring, and CI/CD practices.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Finance, Sales, and Product to deliver high-impact data solutions.
  • Mentor and support junior engineers; share best practices and elevate the technical bar.
  • Own key subject areas and deliver high-performance, cost-efficient solutions.
  • Research and recommend new tools or technologies to improve platform capabilities and team productivity.
  • Support data governance and quality initiatives that ensure trusted, business-ready data.

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering roles, ideally in enterprise environments.
  • Proven expertise building cloud data platforms with Snowflake, DBT, and Fivetran.
  • Strong software engineering skills and experience with CI/CD, automated testing, and agile delivery.
  • A passion for solving complex problems and delivering clean, maintainable code.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • An inclusive, team-first mindset and a drive to elevate the engineering culture.
  • Curiosity and drive to continually learn, improve, and innovate.

The Pay: Axon is a total compensation company, meaning compensation is made up of base pay, bonus, and stock awards. The starting base pay for this role is between USD 145,275 in the lowest geographic market and USD 232,440 in the highest geographic market. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: level, function, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, geographic market, and often a combination of all these factors.
