POSITION DESCRIPTION:
As the Senior Manager, AI Copywriting at Holiday Inn Club Vacations, you’ll lead the evolution of copywriting in the age of AI—balancing creative intuition with cutting-edge technology to deliver high-performing content across marketing, resort, sales, and corporate communications. You'll be responsible for overseeing a small team of AI-savvy writers and editors, elevating their skills while building internal AI-writing processes that are scalable, brand-aligned, and future-ready.
In addition to hands-on writing and editing, you will serve as a cross-functional collaborator and thought leader—partnering closely with creative, brand, and marketing teams to turn AI-assisted storytelling into a competitive advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
AI-Powered Content Leadership
- Oversee the creation, refinement, and implementation of first-person and AI-generated copy across multiple channels, including email, digital, print, social, and video scripts.
- Lead by example—writing, prompting, and editing AI-assisted content that exemplifies brand voice, clarity, and emotional resonance.
- Develop and refine prompting strategies and editorial workflows for optimal AI output.
Team Development & Management
- Manage a team of writers and editors specializing in AI-enhanced copywriting, fostering a culture of experimentation, upskilling, and creative excellence.
- Coach and mentor team members in AI prompting, editorial best practices, and data-informed storytelling.
- Establish regular feedback loops, performance reviews, and professional development plans tailored to evolving AI capabilities.
Brand Governance & Messaging Standards
- Ensure all first-person and AI-assisted copy adheres to brand guidelines, while refining prompts and AI outputs to maintain consistency across all channels.
- Implement and refine best practices for AI-driven content creation, optimizing prompts and editing processes to ensure high-quality copy, and collaborating with internal teams on the use of AI tool.
- Partner with marketing, creative, and brand teams to refine AI tool capabilities to better align with brand messaging objectives.
Data-Driven Optimization
- Collaborate with analytics and CX teams to track the effectiveness of AI-generated content and make data-informed refinements.
- Incorporate consumer behavior, engagement trends, and performance metrics to optimize AI content prompts and messaging strategies.
- Offer content that that feeds A/B testing to assess AI-generated copy performance across different audience segments.
AI Content Innovation & Strategy
- Explore and recommend emerging AI-driven content tools and methodologies to enhance efficiency and creativity.
- Stay informed about advancements in AI-generated content, identifying opportunities for innovation and competitive differentiation.
- Provide insights on how AI can streamline content workflows while maintaining human creativity and authenticity.
Ongoing Training & Collaboration
- Partner with ai vendors and strategy teams to improve skills in AI editing and prompting.
- Act as an internal advocate for AI-assisted writing, helping departments understand its capabilities and limitations through lunch-and-learns.
Qualifications – Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, Marketing, Journalism, English, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in copywriting, editing, or content strategy, with exposure to AI writing tools preferred.
- Proven ability to shape AI-generated content into compelling brand-aligned messaging.
- Strong editorial skills, with a keen eye for brand tone, grammar, and audience engagement.
Qualifications – Other Skills, Abilities & Knowledge:
- Deep understanding of storytelling, persuasive writing, and digital content strategy.
- Ability to balance efficiency with creativity when using AI-assisted content generation.
- Strong analytical mindset, with the ability to leverage performance data for content optimization.
- Highly collaborative, with experience working across creative and marketing teams.
Physical Demands
- Primarily office-based, requiring extended periods of computer use.
- Ability to adapt to evolving AI technologies and workflows.
Working Conditions
- Hybrid work arrangement (4 days in office, 1 day from home).
- Remote position for any internal transfer with remote status
- Collaborative and dynamic work environment.
- Occasional travel may be required.
