Job Details:

Technical Responsibilities:

• Advanced SQL & PL/SQL Development - Develop high-performance PL/SQL and SQL scripts, stored procedures, and packages to support data transformation, reporting, and operational processes at scale.
• Data Integration & ETL Engineering - Design and implement robust data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and integration of data from diverse sources, including APIs, databases, and flat files.
• Data Modeling & Architecture - Create and maintain relational and dimensional data models that meet analytical and operational needs, ensuring performance, scalability, and alignment with enterprise data strategy.
• KPI/SLA Logic Engineering - Translate complex contractual or operational KPIs and SLAs into code-based logic, ensuring data pipelines and reporting layers support accurate monitoring and accountability.
• Performance Tuning & Optimization - Optimize SQL queries, ETL processes, and database design to improve runtime efficiency and reduce system load.
• Analytics & Exploratory Data Support - Partner with analysts and data scientists to provide curated datasets, perform data profiling, and support discovery and hypothesis testing with reliable backend structures.
• Data Governance & Quality Assurance - Embed data validation, lineage tracking, and audit mechanisms to uphold data quality and regulatory compliance standards.
• Documentation & Reusability - Produce and maintain clear technical documentation, including pipeline architecture, data dictionaries, and standard operating procedures to support knowledge transfer and reusability.

Client-Facing & Stakeholder Responsibilities:

• Business Engagement & Requirements Gathering - Collaborate with internal business units, external clients, and product owners to understand requirements and translate them into actionable data engineering solutions.
• Solution Design Communication - Present proposed data flows, logic structures, and integration strategies to both technical and non-technical stakeholders for feedback and alignment.
• KPI/SLA Translation - Work closely with business teams to interpret contract-driven metrics and service level expectations, ensuring engineering outputs reflect real-world obligations.
• Support Operational Readiness - Engage with service delivery teams, business SMEs, and program managers to ensure data products are operationally ready, supportable, and aligned with customer needs.
• Issue Resolution & Continuous Improvement - Act as a technical escalation point for data issues impacting internal or client-facing reporting. Drive root cause analysis, implement fixes, and propose long-term improvements.
• Client Demonstrations & Walkthroughs - Participate in workshops, system demos, and technical walkthroughs with clients and external partners to showcase capabilities or gather feedback.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science,  Data Analytics, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline. OR equivalent years of experience in lieu of a degree.

Experience:

• Five (5)+ years of experience in data engineering or database development roles
• Proven track record of delivering complex data solutions using Oracle PL/SQL in large-scale enterprise environments.
• Experience in working with complex KPI and SLA requirements
• Experience in data warehousing, performance tuning, and ETL processes.

Technical Skills:

• Advanced PL/SQL and SQL scripting
• Strong understanding of relational database systems
• Advanced Data Model/Design
• Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git)
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
