The Role: Team Lead - MI Commercial Data

 

The Grade (Relevant for internal candidates only): 09 

 

The Location: The role will be in Ahmedabad India, or Islamabad Pakistan. 

 

Shift: This is a role that requires flexibility in terms of shift. You will be required to work in different shifts as per the business need. 

 

The Team: Our team governs processes and controls to ensure the highest quality customer master data that is trusted, timely, accurate, and consistent. The team consists of highly trained and motivated professionals on our tools, processes, and workflows who strive to deliver superior client experience and includes overseeing every aspect of the data lifecycle: creating, preparing, using, storing, archiving, and deleting data, by an organization’s established data governance principles for promoting data quality and integrity. You will closely coordinate with teams such as client buying experience, CRM Operations, Order Management, Fulfillment, Marketing, and Finance teams to ensure effective data governance reporting and analytics.  

 

The Impact: Our internal client data is used by stakeholders in Finance, Commercial (Sales and Marketing), OTC and Product management teams for key business decisions so making sure we are providing timely and accurate data that is trusted by our users is critical. The Reporting & Analytics lead would be required to create business opportunities and solve problems through the analysis of large and complex data sets. Moreover, the ability to critically analyze the data using various approaches and tools that helps to transform raw details into meaningful intelligence would play a critical role in solving business problems. Through this opportunity, the individual can provide strategic direction and support in exploring new opportunities through predictive analysis and general insights about the data.

Responsibilities:  

  • You will lead a team of data quality specialists responsible for data corrections through implementation and continuous improvement practices defined by the MDM. 

  • Primarily responsible for data correction, audits, and quality assurance of data collected and processed in Salesforce. 

  • Serve as a data quality lead and point of contact for managing data cleanups, doing root cause analysis, and proactive data quality checks to ensure accuracy and comprehensiveness. 

  • Champion teamwork across teams and functions to reinforce standard methodologies and consistency while ensuring high levels of work quality and efficiency to achieve team’s critical metrics (Productivity, Quality, Timeliness) management. 

  • Proactively catalog and provide mitigation steps for existing quality issues. 

  • Effectively evaluate employee performance including assigning goals, conducting performance reviews, and developing direct reports for success. 

  • Reinforce the client-first culture to further improve clients' experience by closely coordinating with MI Enablement, CRM Support and OTC teams. 

  • Liaise with internal partners (relationship managers, sales executives, and other key internal departments) as part of data quality operations and any special projects (assigned as needed). 

  • Work with data stewards’ team to Identify gaps, take measures to improve quality, and develops mechanisms to provide operational support. 

  • You will maintain a high level of subject matter expertise related to the master data objects, including knowledge of internal applications & tools. 

 

What We’re Looking For:  

 

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree (preferably in Business Management Studies, Finance, or Computer sciences). 

  • Quality first mindset with a strong background and experience in managing data quality. 

  • Prior experience in managing teams, developing procedures, processes, and learning new tools. 

  • Good understanding of data quality practices. 

  • Knowledge of SQL and Excel will be a plus point. 

  • Experience in working and reporting with Salesforce (or similar CRM tool) 

  • Strong people management skills. 

  • You should manifest strong leadership skills including counseling, training, and mentoring. 

  • A positive, dedicated attitude and ability to engage and motivate teams. 

  • Minimum of two years of leadership experience with a strong grasp of workflow management/Operations Management. 

  • An ability to present or discuss an analysis of the problem at hand and its possible solution(s) with partners of all levels. 

  • Certification or knowledge in data management and governance best practices (ie: DAMA DMBOK) desirable.
