Job Description & Summary – Senior Associate - Databricks Data Engineer  

 

Responsibilities: 

 

  

Job Description:  

PwC India is seeking a Data Engineer with 3-4 years of experience to join our team in Mumbai. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with Databricks and a strong background in data engineering and management.  

 

Key Responsibilities:  

• Design and develop scalable data pipelines on Databricks.  

• Must be aware of medallion architecture- bronze/silver/gold.  

• Implement best practices for data loading and transformation using PySpark.  

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.  

• Optimize data processes for performance and efficiency.  

• Perform data reconciliation and ensure data quality across all layers.  

• Implement/support data governance features like data cataloging, data lineage etc using Databricks Unity Catalog.  

• Deploy and monitor mlflow-suite-driven analytical models, design feature store, run end to end AI/MLOps in Databricks environment.  

• Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues.  

 

Qualifications:  

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.  

• 3-4 years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on Databricks.  

• Proficiency in PySpark and AWS cloud services.  

• Strong understanding of data governance and data quality principles.  

• Experience with orchestration and scheduling tools, such as AWS Step Functions/AzureADF and Databricks Workflows.  

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.  

• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.  

• Well versed with all latest features, services & offering of Databricks platform
