BI Data Analyst

You'll Do:

  • Interact with Business Analysts/BRM’s and business stakeholders to gather requirements and understand their data visualization needs.
  • Design, develop, test, and deploy Power BI reports and dashboards.
  • Create custom visualizations and implement row-level security on data.
  • Build data models and develop tabular and multidimensional models compatible with warehouse standards.
  • Integrate Power BI reports into other applications to enhance business capabilities.
  • Use advanced calculations on data sets using DAX functions in Power BI.
  • Conduct unit testing and troubleshooting to ensure the functionality of reports and dashboards.
  • Document processes and methodologies used in the development of BI solutions.
  • Field incoming problem tickets from end users to resolve issues
  • Be a forward-thinking Business Intelligence representative; identifying and promoting new insights, analytics and ways to move the Business in new areas and capabilities
  • Design, document, test, analyze, perform quality assurance and maintain reports and integrations
  • Identify opportunities for improvement of related technologies and implement them
  • Prioritize, schedule, and administer enhancements and defect resolution are required
  • Evaluate resolutions and analyze trends for ways to prevent repeated problems
  • Record, track, and document the problem-solving process and resolution in ServiceNow
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of manuals and guidelines

You Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Power BI Developer or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
  • Proficiency in Power BI, including Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and DAX queries.
  • Experience with SQL and data modeling.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms like Azure.
  • Understanding of database design, structure, functions
  • Specialization in one or more of the following technologies is an asset: Power BI or Power BI reporting platforms, relational databases & tools (SharePoint / o365 suite)

    Compensation Package:

    • The salary range for this position may vary depending on experience, education, and location. The yearly salary range is between $80,000 - $108,000
    • Annual bonus opportunity 
    • Outstanding benefits package including medical, dental, pension, life insurance, disability, accident insurance, vacation, and holidays

    Working Conditions:

    • This position will require occasional travel 
    •  Position is office based 
    • Occasional evening and weekend work to meet deadlines, respond to service interruptions, and perform scheduled maintenance.
