Sr Data Engineer

As our new Senior Data Engineer, you would be at the heart of our analytics engine, working with modern tools like Snowflake, dbt, Stitch, and Python to deliver data that makes a difference.We’re looking for someone who’s not only fluent in data modeling, but who gets excited about collaborating with business leaders, improving systems, and pushing our data infrastructure to the next level.This is a permanent, full-time position with a pay range up to $100K annually.

Responsibilities:

• Create, test, and maintain ETL systems that feed the Business Intelligence platform.
• Works closely with the senior management to ensure that all ETL processes are created, troubleshot and improved in an optimal manner.
• Ensures that the use of business intelligence applications enhances business decision making capabilities.
• Capable of executing advanced SQL development to create robust reporting tools.
• Tune databases and data models for optimum reporting performance.
• Design and implement processes for monitoring health of the BI platform.
• Design and implement processes for validating and verifying ETL processes.
• Participate in the incident management process as required to support overall issue resolution and system and/or service restoral as outlined in the Liquid Web Incident Management Process

 

You have:

• 8+ years relevant experience
• Advanced SQL development experience with both transactional data and data warehouse coding (dimensions, facts, merges, etc)
• Experience developing data warehouses using Snowflake
• Working knowledge in setting up and maintaining ETL environments using Snowflake, dbt, Stitch API connectors, and Python
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently, yet closely with team members and management
• Must be able to multitask and work in a fast paced environment
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Related discipline or equivalent experience

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with PowerBI or similar reporting engine
• Experience with Snowflake
• Experience administering databases such as mySQL and Postgres
• Experience with AWS and S3 buckets
• Experience with Linux System Administration
