Job Summary:

Supermicro is seeking a highly skilled and visionary Director of Cloud and AI Software Solutions to lead the development and execution of our Cloud and AI software strategy. In this role, you will drive the design and optimization of cloud-native AI infrastructure, with a particular focus on LLM training, inference, and AI application hosting. As a key technical leader, you will provide strategic direction for Systems Management, Orchestration, and AI Cloud solutions in multi-cloud, hybrid cloud, and on-prem environments. You will also work closely with ecosystem partners such as NVIDIA, VMware, OpenAI, and Hugging Face to enhance software integration and develop innovative solutions. Your expertise will be crucial in developing AI workload orchestration, automation strategies, and cloud-native model serving approaches, as well as optimizing performance, networking, and storage solutions for AI workloads.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and execution of Supermicro’s Cloud and AI Software Solutions strategy.  
  • Architect and optimize cloud-native AI infrastructure for LLM training, inference, and AI application hosting.  
  • Provide technical leadership for Systems Management, Orchestration and AI Cloud customers in multi-cloud, hybrid cloud, and on-prem AI solutions.  
  • Engage with ecosystem partners (e.g., NVIDIA, VMware, OpenAI, Hugging Face) to enhance software integration.  
  • Develop and implement AI workload orchestration, automation, and cloud-native model serving strategies.  
  • Define and optimize performance, networking, and storage solutions for AI workloads.  
  • Represent Supermicro at customer briefings, conferences, and industry events to position our AI Cloud offerings. 

Qualifications:

  • 17+ years of experience in cloud computing, AI software solutions, and enterprise IT architecture.  
  • Proven leadership in cloud software engineering, solutions architecture, or technical services.  
  • Expertise in Generative AI (LLMs, AI model deployment), Kubernetes, container orchestration, and hybrid cloud solutions.  
  • Deep knowledge of virtualization (VMware NSX, OpenStack), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and AI software stacks.  
  • Strong background in cloud networking, distributed storage, and AI hardware acceleration (GPUs, TPUs).  
  • Experience engaging with Tier-1 telcos, cloud service providers, and enterprise AI adopters.  
  • Familiarity with Ansible automation for infrastructure and configuration management. 
  • Familiar with Linux, kernel, shell code script. 
  • Certification in AWS, GCP, Azure, Ansible, Python, Kubernetes or relevant technologies are a bonus. 
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Salary Range

$200,000 - $240,000

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
