What you’ll do
Position Title: SAP iXp Intern - Joule Full-Stack Developer
Location: Palo Alto, CA
Expected Start Date: June 2025
Contract Duration: 6 months
Work Hours: 40 hours per week; Full-time
- Work as a full-stack developer directly under the supervision of the Joule Chief Architect
- Work on Architecture Concept Documents and Architecture Design Records
- Build prototypes and proof of concepts using ML/AI, LLMs, GenAI research, Agents, among others
- Evaluate new industry trends/technologies (e.g. Model-Context-Protocol, Agent2Agent Protocols)
- Be a self-starter with a growth mindset
- Have a passion for emerging technologies
- Show initiative and resolve issues efficiently
- Quickly learn new topics
What you bring
We’re looking for someone who takes initiative, perseveres, and stay curious. You like to work on meaningful innovative projects and are energized by lifelong learning.
Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
Eligibility: Must be currently enrolled, or recently graduated (start date must be within 6 months of graduation date) from a coding academy/bootcamp, apprenticeship, associate, bachelor’s, master’s or JD/PhD program
- Technical proficiency in programming languages, JAVA preferred
- Strong fundamentals of software design and architecture
- Knowledge of LLMs and Agents concepts
- Knowledge of Git and CI/CD tools like Jenkins
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English
- Enthusiastic about learning and promoting our technology, products, and services
- Focus on achieving results and growth
- Full accountability for assigned tasks
Meet your team
You will join the Joule team, which plays a pivotal role in today’s SAP’s Business AI Strategy. You will be working with the Digital Assistant team responsible for Joule development in the US. You will get to shape the vision for Joule, the one Digital Assistant at SAP, for both its end-users and the developers building capabilities for Joule as you will be assisting the Joule Chief Architect with research and proof of concepts development. Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP’s commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 31-56 USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
