About the Role:

We are on a mission to unlock the potential of artificial intelligence for NetSuite customers making their experience more seamless and enjoyable. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives on turning technology into practical, real-world applications running at scale. As a Principal AI Developer, you will play a pivotal role in designing and developing foundational AI/ML application components global to the NetSuite product.

Your Mission:

Lead the design, development, and optimization of foundational AI/ML application components global to the NetSuite product, such as agentic search, document extraction, RAG.

Develop, evaluate, and deploy ML products - leaning on your experience and understanding of deploying, monitoring, maintaining, and adapting AI products over time.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine and translate requirements into robust technical solutions and ensure the successful integration of AI/ML components into various products and services.

Stay abreast of industry trends.

Conduct experiments and research to explore new AI/ML techniques, tools, and frameworks, that could be leveraged to simplify/streamline the product and processes.

Mentor and develop other engineers on the team. 

Maintain and enhance existing AI applications, addressing performance issues and implementing improvements.

Clearly communicate technical designs, and best practices to stakeholders and team members at different levels.

Skills and Qualifications:

A degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, or a related field. Advanced degrees are desirable. 

Deep, hands-on product development experience, defining technical and architecture needs in the context of user and business needs.

Hands-on experience in developing AI/ML applications, with a strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, data structures, and software engineering principles.

Proficiency in multiple programming languages, with experience in building production-ready applications. Python & Java desired.

Experience with software development best practices, version control systems (Git), and CI/CD pipelines.

Expertise in AI ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, LangChain, LLamaIndex) and libraries for data manipulation and visualization.

Knowledge of cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, OCI) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), data engineering and related best practices is desirable.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $96,800 to $223,400 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
