Data & Insights Intern - Fall 2025

The Need  

For over 25 years, IJM has pioneered the work to protect vulnerable people from violence. 9 out of 9 times in the last decade, IJM’s Justice System Strengthening Projects have reduced slavery and violence between 50 and 85% for very large populations of people in poverty. As we grow to expand our impact to protect 500 million people from violence, we are seeking a Data & Insights Intern to join the 2025 Fall Internship class.  

The Data & Insights Intern will support various initiatives executed by the Data and Insights team within the North America regional fundraising division. The Data & Insights Intern will have the opportunity to develop data tools and systems through data engineering and pipeline development that will provide key insights to fundraising teams. Tasks may include:   

• Utilizing data analytics and data science tools to analyze complex, large datasets;  

• Support critical revenue-raising initiatives;  

• Supporting creation of dashboards other insight generators; 

• Participating in departmental and general IJM administrative support. 

This position can be fully in-person or hybrid (onsite Tuesdays & Thursdays) in the Washington, DC area or remote for non-local candidates. It reports to the Sr. Manager, Data Science, North America. The position requires 30-40 hours per week. 

Fall internship program dates are Sept. 8 – Dec. 11, 2025.     

General Qualifications and Required Skills   

• Bachelor's degree must be in progress for DC/Remote Internships and applicants need to have completed at least two years of undergraduate study.  

• Experience with Python, Tableau, and/or SQL.

*What is a statement of faith?  
A statement of faith should describe your Christian faith and how you see it as relevant to your involvement with IJM. The statement can either be incorporated into the cover letter or submitted as a separate document and should include, at a minimum, a description of your spiritual disciplines (prayer, study, etc.) and your current fellowship or place of worship.
