Ankura is a team of excellence founded on innovation and growth.

Practice Overview:

AI is more than just chatbots—it is the foundation for autonomous intelligence, decision-making, and scalable automation. At Ailevate, an Ankura company, we are pioneering the next evolution of Agentic AI, where autonomous AI Agents leverage Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and real-time data processing to drive impact across industries.

Our platform is built for businesses that need scalable, privacy-first AI solutions to enhance efficiency, automation, and decision-making. Join us in shaping the future of AI beyond chatbots, where LLM-powered Agents solve complex problems, streamline workflows, and optimize analytics-driven insights.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a passionate AI Specialist with a data science focus, bringing 4+ years of experience and a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, or a related field. This remote, full-time role is dedicated to solving complex business problems by crafting production-ready AI agent workflows, with a heavy emphasis on prompt analysis and optimization. Leveraging your expertise in Jupyter notebooks, data science, and statistical analysis, you’ll independently design, test, and refine prompts to ensure accurate, repeatable agent workflows that drive business impact. The ideal candidate for this position is a self-driven data science expert who thrives on solving business problems through AI agent workflows, with a knack for prompt analysis and optimization. This role will dive into Jupyter notebooks with ease, using statistical and data science skills to craft prompts that make agents shine. It is necessary to have independence and passion to ensure production-ready workflows that are precise and impactful—no handholding needed.

This role will be filled at the Senior Associate within Ankura’s structure.

Responsibilities

  • Solve complex business problems by designing production-ready AI agent workflows, focusing on prompt analysis and optimization for maximum performance.

  • Prototype and iterate in Jupyter notebooks to experiment with prompt designs, refining agent behaviors for accuracy and reliability.

  • Analyze and optimize prompts to enhance AI agent outcomes, ensuring workflows are robust, repeatable, and aligned with business goals.

  • Optimize machine learning models that support agent workflows, using techniques like gradient descent, hyperparameter tuning, evolutionary algorithms, or reinforcement learning.

  • Generate and manage synthetic data, ensuring balance and addressing bias, fairness, and robustness to support prompt-driven workflows.

  • Apply causal analysis to uncover business insights that inform prompt design and workflow effectiveness.

  • Conduct rigorous statistical analysis to validate prompts, models, and workflow performance.

  • Create impactful data visualizations to communicate prompt performance and business outcomes to stakeholders.

  • Leverage embeddings (e.g., for text, images, or graphs) to enhance prompt-driven agent capabilities in business applications.

  • Collaborate remotely with cross-functional teams to align workflows with business objectives, requiring minimal guidance.

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, Statistics, or a related field.

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in data science or AI/ML development, with a strong focus on solving business problems.

  • Proven expertise in prompt analysis and optimization for AI agents, ensuring high-quality, repeatable outcomes.

  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and enthusiasm for tackling complex challenges through prompt-driven workflows.

  • Advanced proficiency in Python, Jupyter notebooks, and data science/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).

  • Deep experience with optimization techniques, including evolutionary algorithms or reinforcement learning, to support agent performance.

  • Strong expertise in synthetic data generation, focusing on dataset balance and bias mitigation to inform prompt design.

  • Proficient in causal analysis (e.g., causal inference, propensity score matching) and statistical methods (e.g., regression, A/B testing).

  • Skilled in data handling and preprocessing for large-scale datasets (e.g., SQL, Pandas).

  • Adept at data visualization using tools like Matplotlib, Seaborn, or Plotly to showcase prompt and workflow insights.

  • Experience with embeddings to enhance prompt-driven tasks like classification, clustering, or recommendations.

  • Ability to build accurate, repeatable AI agent workflows using modern AI workflow platforms, ready for production deployment.

  • Strong communication skills to articulate prompt strategies and solutions in a remote setting without needing extensive oversight.
