The Data Governance Foundation Lead Analyst is responsible for contributing to the directional strategy and assisting in creation and modification of Enterprise Data Governance Strategy, and/or Data Risk and Control Framework and Data Risk Taxonomy. The focus of this role may be on one or more of the following areas: assisting in identification, measurement and reporting, data policy adoption and compliance, data controls framework performance and issue management process, and regulatory and audit response and action tracking.

This role requires someone who is dynamic, flexible, and can easily respond to quickly changing needs. The candidate must have the ability to handle ambiguity and complexity and be able to deliver on multiple responsibilities. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence, and convince others.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with data consumers to agree on the scope of data requirements, critical data elements, data quality challenges, and success criteria for Wholesale Lending Data Governance Strategy

  • Analyze data lineage documentation and support the creation of data and system flow documentation and process maps that clearly communicate complexities.

  • Support updates for key data capabilities including metadata repositories, data dictionaries, data lineage, business process maps, and training materials for Wholesale Lending data and system process flows

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for Wholesale Lending Data strategic data analysis providing recommendations, insight, and consequences for strategic Wholesale Lending Data strategy initiatives

  • Identify data quality “hot spots” or points of control breaks. Determine strategies to improve data quality controls and monitoring routines to de-risk points of data quality vulnerabilities using EDO approved tools and solutions

  • Examine and evaluate data related project status, including ownership, target dates, identifying potential risks and issues that need escalation or change and proposing solutions to project leads.

  • Partner with multiple teams to implement relevant Data Governance policies and/or Data Risk and Control framework
  • Provide expertise on Data Governance and/or Data Risk and Controls framework including design, effectiveness, performance monitoring and self-assessment processes

•    Develop and manage approach for measuring  compliance with Wholesale Lending Data Risk Control framework, principles, policies, processes, and practices

•    Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency

Qualifications:

•    6-10 years relevant experience in a Data Governance/ Data Management/ Process Engineering or related area

•    Advanced understanding of Project Management methodologies and tools

•    Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources

•    Requires basic commercial awareness

•    Ability to monitor tight deadlines or unexpected requirement changes, with the ability to anticipate and balance needs of multiple stakeholders

•    Ability to communicate effectively to develop and deliver multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences

•    Wholesale Lending background

Education:

•    Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$113,840.00 - $170,760.00
