Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Web Performance Specialist with global experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in optimizing our website's performance, visibility, and user experience. You will be responsible for implementing technical SEO strategies, monitoring website performance metrics, and utilizing digital analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager to drive data-driven decisions that will enhance user experiences, improve decision-making, increase engagement, boost search engine rankings, and ultimately, increase revenue.
Key Responsibilities:
Performance analysis:
Monitoring website performance metrics using analytics tools to identify areas for improvement, such as slow loading times, large image sizes, and inefficient code.
Working closely with developers to integrate performance improvements into new features and updates, providing clear technical guidance on best practices.
Monitoring and Troubleshooting
Continuously monitor website performance and uptime.
Identify performance bottlenecks and troubleshoot issues such as slow database queries, poorly written code, or inefficient third-party integrations.
Provide performance reports and actionable insights.
Testing and Benchmarking
Conduct load testing and stress testing to ensure websites can handle high traffic volumes.
Benchmark performance against industry standards and competitors.
Google Analytics (GA4):
Own and maintain the Google Analytics platform from a technical standpoint, ensuring proper setup, tagging, and tracking implementation.
Collaborate with marketing and development teams to implement and test tracking codes, event tracking, and custom dimensions/metrics.
Troubleshoot and resolve data integrity issues within Google Analytics and associated tools (Google Tag Manager, BigQuery, etc.).
Ensure Google Analytics configurations align with business objectives, providing accurate and actionable data for stakeholders.
Google Tag Manager (GTM):
Manage and maintain GTM containers, ensuring optimal tag and trigger configurations.
Develop and implement custom tags and triggers to track specific user interactions and events.
Provide guidance and support to marketing teams on GTM best practices and troubleshooting techniques.
Stay up-to-date with GTM updates and best practices to optimize performance and efficiency.
SEO (technical):
Collaborate with SEO teams to identify and implement technical SEO optimizations.
Monitor website performance and identify potential issues impacting search engine visibility.
Collaborate with SEO specialists to improve rankings by addressing technical performance issues.
Conduct regular website crawls and analyze log files to identify and resolve technical SEO problems.
Implement and maintain sitemaps, robots.txt, and other SEO-related configurations.
Privacy:
Ensure compliance with GDPR, CCPA, and other relevant privacy regulations.
Manage and optimize OneTrust cookie consent management system.
Develop and implement data privacy policies and procedures.
Conduct regular privacy risk assessments and audits.
Provide guidance and training to employees on privacy best practices.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience
8+ years of professional experience in digital analytics, technical SEO, and privacy for a global firm
Strong understanding of digital analytics concepts, including web analytics, mobile analytics, and data science.
Highly proficient in Google Analytics (GA4), Google Tag Manager (GTM)
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Data Studio)
Highly proficient in SEO best practices and technical SEO execution for multi-national, multilingual websites.
Understanding of privacy regulations, including GDPR and CCPA.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Communication skills are a must have as the candidate will be required to convey sensitive information and instructions.
Solid ability in both written and verbal communication, with the ability to develop ideas and processes and clearly express them.
Prior experience building and presenting the web analytics and technical SEO plan, including requirements, in preparation for implementation.
Prior experience working within a fast-paced and fast-evolving environment.
Additional Desired Skills
Experience with data quality assurance and testing.
Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript).
Experience with A/B testing and experimentation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
